Check your email for a CVS % off coupon + tips on using this to maximize your savings!

If you've signed up for CVS emails, check your inbox, you may have received this 25% off coupon.  Sometimes the restrictions on this coupon may keep some of you from using it, but here are a few tips to get the most out of this coupon and ways to help you save even more at CVS:

~ The % off pass EXCLUDES any sale items. On the odd occasion, it will actually work on clearance (don't expect it, but if it does it's an extra bonus!) It also will not work on BOGO or BOGO 50% off sales.

~ These coupons are awesome to use on ECB deals that are not on sale. You'll get the discount and you'll still get your ECB's.

~ If the price is listed in the ad, then it's on sale! Look for ECB deals that have no prices listed!

~ If you want to receive the full amount of your discount do NOT use a $/$$ coupon (for example a $4/20 or $5/20), $1 Green Bag Tag, $5 Beauty Club or Force printed ECB's with your % off coupon.  These are considered true CVS coupons (not CVS manufacturer coupons) and it will reduce the amount of your discount. After each ECB is scanned the register adjusts and if you use any of these type ECB's the amount will be reduced. Also if you use an expired CVS coupon it will reduce your amount.

~ CVS Red Scanner Machine coupons and regular manufacturer coupons will NOT affect your % off discount.

~ Give this % off coupon first and it will come off as a single combined amount of all your non-sale items, it doesn't show how much was taken off each item.

~ If you receive this coupon in your e-mail, you can extend the expiration date on it. Wait to print it or send it to your card the day before it expires, or even the day of and you'll get an extra 4 days to use it!

I hope this helps those of you who have been avoiding using this coupon.  If you have any questions about any of this or have a scenario to share that may be helpful when using this coupon, please share it in the comment section.

A special thanks to Didie at We Use Coupons for her helpful information on this subject.
