I've been working very hard to put together some transaction scenarios to keep our oop as low as possible for the Walgreens Black Friday sale, but still let us rack up on all of the cheap or MM-ing deals.
Some things to keep in mind about our Walgreens: 1) Our Walgreens will only allow ONE RR ITEM PER PERSON PER DAY, and just because it's BF, they still enforce this rule (at least they did last year, they are under a new manager since then, but I just don't see any hints that it will change for this year). 2) You cannot use a RR from a combined group of items on any other item in that same group, or a new RR will not print. Ex: Cover Girl Wetslicks and Shineblast are on the same RR group, if you buy both of them in the same transaction only one RR will print, OR if you buy Wetslicks in the first transaction & use that RR to pay for Shineblast in the second transaction, no RR will print in the second transaction. 3) Walgreens policy only allows one manufacturer coupon (MQ) per item in each transaction, a RR is considered a manufacturer coupon, so if you are planning on paying for your transaction with RR's, only items WITHOUT regular MQ can have a RR used. In other words, if you buy Bic Flex 4 Razors and use the $2/1 MQ, the Cover Girl Wetslicks lip gloss and use the $1/1 MQ, and the Revlon lipgloss and use the $1/1 MQ, all in one transaction, then you cannot pay with any RR's because there are no items left to attach the RR (which Walgreens calls MQ) to. So if you want to pay with RR when you don't have enough items, you have to use "fillers". I like to use the .33 caramels, or the .10 holiday sacks or anything around .25. These filler items can also have an in-ad coupon to be used with them & still be fillers as long as there is no MQ used. I hope I haven't confused everyone too badly! The good news is, if you just follow my transaction outline you should be able to get everything without any of these problems, because I've already thought it all out for us! (Hopefully)!
